The tissue culture Laboratory Technologist would culture fibroblasts and other cell lines. Additional duties would include inventory management and media/reagent preparation. SHIFT Mitochondiral Laboratory Monday•Fridays 8:00 a.m.•4:30 p.m. (flexible) Weekends and Holidays dependent on workload
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the functions which the employee may be expected to perform. Responsible for reporting accurate results, evaluating results for clinical significance and validity, and for recognition of atypical/abnormal results requiring additional follow up. Ensures quality control is acceptable and instrumentation is functioning and maintained within defined tolerance limits and documentation is completed. Consciously works to minimize errors and takes responsibility for correcting and documenting errors in a timely manner. Performs all laboratory functions according to standard operating procedures and guidelines established by regulatory agencies, including participation in proficiency testing and familiarization with regulations and quality indicators. Troubleshoots equipment and assay performance when results are questionable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
•Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.

•Meeting one of the other requirements set by the ASCP Board of Certification may be accepted in lieu of degree.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Fibroblast and amniocyte tissue culture experience preferred. Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Hourly Range:
$28.61 to $42.92 Benefits Information Here, you matter.
