Our client, a healthcare facility located in Western Colorado, near Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, has a need for a Blood Bank Supervisor to join their team.

available! MUST be ASCP certified and MUST have at least 2 yrs of Blood Bank experience! They are offering a $15,000 sign on bonus! Performs various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Applies techniques used in the field of blood banking, hematology, serology, chemistry and morphological examinations. Records test results, quality control, remedial action. In conjunction with the Laboratory Technical Director and Medical Director, ensures technical and regulatory oversight of the Blood Bank section in the Laboratory to include: continual compliance to federal, state and/or local regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies, acts as a technical resource for staff, maintains essential equipment function checks, review and development of policies and procedures, participation in hospital blood utilization, preparation and oversight of department quality assurance/improvement and quality control program.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university. Required national certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologist (ASCP) or equivalent or equally qualified through examination by the Health Education and Welfare accreditation program.

Training/Experience:

2 years of training/experience in a Laboratory performing blood bank testing and transfusion services.
