A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Performs a variety of simple and complex nuclear medicine procedures. Assists supervisor in the ordering and inventory of supplies and provides assistance in the tutoring and supervision of subordinate technologists.
