UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Medical Technologist II to perform complex laboratory testing to support high-quality, patient-centered care. In this role, you will conduct and validate diagnostic tests, analyze and report results, troubleshoot instruments, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities Perform and interpret complex diagnostic laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (e.g., chemistry, hematology, microbiology). Validate, document, and report accurate and timely test results to providers and clinical teams. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment, escalating issues as needed. Ensure adherence to quality control, quality assurance, and safety protocols in accordance with CLIA/CAP and hospital policies. Participate in method validation, proficiency testing, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to support patient-centered care and clinical decision-making. Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior staff and students as appropriate. Maintain accurate records in the laboratory information system and support regulatory and accreditation readiness.
