A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Job Description

Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for an experienced Medical Technologist to join a dynamic laboratory team for an 8-week assignment, with potential for extension. This is a full-time, Generalist position designed for a well-rounded Medical Technologist (MT) who is ready to step into a critical role. Please note, applicants must not be local to Broward, Dade, or Palm Beach Counties.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time day shift 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Primarily weekend coverage
Qualifications:
Active ASCP (AMT or AAB certifications are also accepted) Valid State of Florida laboratory license College diploma or official transcripts required Must possess at least two years of comprehensive generalist experience as a Medical Technologist (MLT certification is not accepted for this role)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality testing in chemistry, hematology, immunology, blood bank, and microbiology as a true laboratory generalist Analyze laboratory specimens with accuracy and attention to detail to assist in clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions Ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory guidelines Maintain organized documentation and clearly communicate results to clinicians Support a collaborative and efficient work environment, adapting to changing priorities as needed
