Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital role performing diverse laboratory analyses in a well-equipped healthcare environment. As a generalist Medical Technologist, you will play a key part in delivering accurate laboratory test results across various disciplines. This is a contract opportunity designed for experienced laboratory professionals who are fully credentialed and ready to make a difference.
Schedule/Hours:
6:00pm - 6:00am 36 hours per week
Assignment Duration:
24 weeks, with potential for extension
Qualifications:
Required certification from ASCP, AMT, or AAB Valid State of Florida laboratory license College diploma (or official transcripts) At least one year of hands-on generalist experience as a Medical Technologist (not MLT) Proficient in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, blood banking, and immunology procedures Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of laboratory equipment Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Perform a full spectrum of high-complexity laboratory tests across all departments Evaluate and validate test results according to established protocols Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements Accurately document findings and participate in quality control/quality assurance processes Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments, reporting malfunctions as necessary Participate in continuing education and ongoing training This opportunity provides a chance to leverage your expertise in a dynamic clinical setting, working evenings and overnight hours that support both patient care and work-life balance.
