Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Step into a critical role as a Medical Technologist supporting essential laboratory operations on a 24-week contract assignment with evening and overnight shifts. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced, well-rounded generalist who excels in fast-paced, diverse environments.
Schedule:
6:00pm - 6:00am 36 hours per week
Key Qualifications:
Must be a Medical Technologist (MT); MLTs not considered for this role Certification required: ASCP, AMT, or AAB Active Florida laboratory license College diploma or official transcripts Demonstrated experience as a generalist across core laboratory disciplines
Core Responsibilities:
Perform and evaluate a full spectrum of laboratory tests with precision, including hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology, and blood banking Ensure timely, accurate analysis and reporting of results to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment Maintain quality control standards, calibration of laboratory equipment, and precise documentation Collaborate with clinicians and lab team members to optimize workflow and support patient care excellence Adhere to established laboratory protocols and regulatory standards in all processes Participate actively in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement efforts
