Full Job Description About Us:
GeneID is a high complexity molecular Next Generation Sequencing laboratory providing a variety of molecular testing. The laboratory technologist under the direction of the supervisors will be responsible for day-to-day operations. The new hire will be placed at Millenia Advanced Scientific, LLC in Florida.
Responsibilities:
Follows laboratory established procedures and performs a variety of molecular procedures including but not limited to DNA quantification, Library preparation, Real time PCR, Sanger sequencing, and PGx. Assist in all phases of technical laboratory services Maintains records per SOPs Participate in the Proficiency Testing Program and inspections, as assigned. Learn and perform sample preparation for high complexity testing Prepare samples and reagents for testing according to laboratory policies Familiarity with high through-put platforms and common molecular laboratory equipment (pipettes, thermocyclers, liquid handlers, etc.). Experience with ensuring and maintaining integrity and quality of the lab (sample processing, equipment, SOPs). Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Power Point. Well organized. Adhere to laboratory's quality control and safety policies.
Excellent communication skills Minimum qualifications:
Experience with PCR and PGx technologies, including hands-on laboratory experience. Knowledge of molecular biology techniques and laboratory instrumentation. Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Medical Technologist Certification such as ASCP AAB or AMT.
