Education:
State of Hawaii Medical Technologist license.
Type:
Full-time;
Contract Schedule:
12-hour shifts, 36 hours a week; ability to work Day Shift or Night Shift Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Travel Medical Technologist to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Serve patients across all age groups and perform stat and routine and high and moderate-complexity laboratory testing across disciplines. Identifies and resolves issues that affect test accuracy using standard troubleshooting methods. Report concerns to appropriate laboratory leadership. Document corrective actions when test systems fall outside acceptable performance levels. Maintain laboratory records and ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and safety standards. Communicate test results and laboratory services with medical staff and departments. Participate in continuing education and maintain professional competency. Adhere to and follow established principles of good lab practice and procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, and reporting of results. Support general laboratory operations, including inventory control and coordination of workflow.
Position Requirements:
Membership in a nationally recognized medical professional association. Knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality control, regulatory and accreditation requirements. Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and teamwork skills in a clinical environment Ability to maintain concentration and respond to urgent or emergency situations.
