3003323952-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Clinical Laboratories of Hawaii, LLP seeks a Senior Medical Technologist for Maui Memorial Medical Center. In this role, you will perform and oversee complex clinical laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, immunology, and other disciplines, ensuring accurate, timely results that support critical patient care decisions. You will serve as a technical resource, help mentor staff, maintain analyzers, and uphold CLIA and CAP standards. Responsibilities Perform and interpret complex clinical laboratory tests across multiple disciplines (hematology, chemistry, immunology, microbiology). Validate, troubleshoot, and maintain analyzers and laboratory instruments following quality and safety standards. Review and release results, resolve critical values, and collaborate with clinicians on test interpretation. Oversee workflow, support staff scheduling, and serve as a technical resource and senior mentor to other technologists. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and hospital policies, including quality control, proficiency testing, and documentation. Participate in training, competency assessments, and continuous process improvement initiatives. Follow infection control, biosafety, and specimen handling protocols to protect patients and staff. Support implementation of new assays, equipment, and laboratory technologies. Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and support staff to prioritize and expedite testing. Use LIS and related systems to accurately log, track, and report patient test results.
