🚨 We're Hiring! Medical Technologist - Saint Francis Hospital, Hartford Join Our Lab Team! Please attach a resume. 40 hours, Night Shift Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT is seeking a talented Laboratory Technologist to join our dynamic, mission-driven team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering high‑quality patient care by performing high‑complexity testing in a fast‑paced hospital laboratory.
What you will do:
Determines normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices. Analyzes blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures Ensures operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment by calibrating; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Position Hours:
40 hours, Night Shift, rotating wknds/holidays
Minimum Requirements:
BS in Medical Technology or AS in Medical Lab Technology MT-ASCP or
MLT-ASCP.
Or must be eligible to take Certification exam and achieve certification within the first year of employment. Applicants for this position must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor an employment visa for this position
