Job Description

Travel Sleep Technologist Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Travel Sleep Technologist to join a sleep disorders team for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience performing overnight sleep studies, monitoring patients, and ensuring accurate data collection for the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. Candidates must be proficient with Epic and NATUS systems and possess strong knowledge of EEGs, anatomy, and physiology.

Job Duration:

13 Weeks Requirements High School Diploma or higher. Minimum 1 year of experience in sleep disorder diagnostics. Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification required. Current BLS Certification required. Previous travel experience required. Proficiency with Epic and NATUS systems is required. Strong knowledge of EEGs, anatomy, and physiology . Ability to work independently during overnight shifts and provide excellent patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct overnight polysomnography (sleep studies) according to established protocols. Prepare patients for sleep studies by applying EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory, and pulse oximetry monitoring equipment. Monitor patients throughout the night and recognize abnormalities requiring intervention. Accurately document sleep study data and patient observations. Troubleshoot and maintain sleep monitoring equipment to ensure quality recordings. Utilize Epic and NATUS systems for documentation and study management. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout diagnostic procedures. Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and departmental policies. Float to other assigned areas as needed based on operational requirements.

Pay:

$1,500.00 - $1,850.00 per week

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

sleep disorder diagnostics: 1 year (Required)

EMR, EPIC and NATUS :

1 year (Required) EEGs, anatomy, and physiology.: 1 year (Preferred)
