A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

Process cellular therapy products and patient samples in accordance with established SOPs and regulatory requirements. Perform laboratory procedures with a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards. Operate and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment used in product processing and testing. Perform required quality control (QC), instrument verifications, maintenance, and routine performance checks. Accurately document all processing activities, test results, maintenance, and QC records using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Maintain chain of identity and chain of custody for cellular therapy products and related samples. Identify supply needs and communicate inventory concerns to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations. Adhere to laboratory safety procedures, infection control practices, and hazardous material handling requirements. Participate in competency assessments and continuing education.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology/Science or Biology- Required 1 year Blood Bank
- Preferred 1 year Hematology
- Preferred Medical Technology/Science
- Preferred 1 year Chemistry or Life Science
- Required Medical Technologist (MT)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Preferred Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
- Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS)
- American Heart Association
- Required
