A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

You must have an extensive skillset in culture plate reading and interpretation Strong knowledge of Microbiology Microscopy skills-including gram stain interpretation, acid-fast stain interpretation and recognition of bacteria, yeast, fungi and cells under microscopy You will use automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. You will perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or pet biopsy samples that we receive in our lab by the thousands, every day. You will set up and run lab tests, then read and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). A 2- 3•or 4-year degree in a Science-related field is preferred.

Schedule:
The schedule for this position is: Monday- Friday The hours for this position are flexible We are offering this position with the flex schedule of 4/10hr days or 5/8hr days. The start time and end time of your shift is also flexible Weekend options are available there will be a set rotation

- Time Position (40 / hrs per week) The shifts and hours may vary slightly depending on business needs Reliable and dependable attendance is an essential function of the position
