Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to join the laboratory team. Under general supervision, the Medical Technologist will perform routine and complex analytical procedures on blood, body fluids, and other specimens using manual techniques, laboratory instruments, and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and complex laboratory testing and analytical procedures. Analyze blood and other body fluid specimens accurately and efficiently. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and information systems. Follow established laboratory procedures, quality control standards, and safety protocols. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of test results. Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology may be considered if coursework aligns with the responsibilities of the position. Minimum 6 months of experience in a medical laboratory setting. Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge of laboratory functions. Hematology experience is required. BLS certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

National certification at the technologist level from a recognized agency such as ASCP, NCA, ASM, AABB, ACS, or HEW.

Pay:

$1,500.00 - $1,600.00 per hour
