St Mary's Medical Center - Blue Springs, MO We are seeking a Catheterization Laboratory Technologist, sometimes referred to as our Cardiac Interventional Technologist, Cardiac Catheterization Technologist or Cath Lab Tech. Our Cath Lab Tech will operate under the oversight of a physician (either a Cardiologist or Radiologist). The role involves assisting in procedures by scrubbing or monitoring physiological and hemodynamic data relevant to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures conducted in the cardiovascular lab. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Responsibilities •If you hold your ARRT-R and some experience in the Cath Lab you are encouraged to apply. We do not offer training for Per Diem shifts. Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterization procedures, which involve threading catheters through blood vessels to diagnose and treat various heart/cardiovascular conditions Ensure that all necessary equipment, including catheters, monitors, and imaging devices, are properly set up and functioning before each procedure Help prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and ensuring they are comfortable and properly positioned on the procedure table During procedures, monitor patients' vital signs, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and hemodynamic data to ensure their safety and provide real-time information to the medical team Help transfer patients to recovery areas after the procedure, monitor their condition and provide any necessary post-procedure instructions or assistance Track the par level of all instruments and supplies, and provide support for both invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures in all capacities for the Cardiac Cath Lab Qualifications ARRT-R and license as required by the state, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR Registered Electrophysiology Specialist required BCLS (AHA) is required upon hire and must be kept current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire Proficient computer skills Previous experience in a cardiovascular lab is preferred Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred Here are some of the benefits of working at
