A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

As a member of the Laboratory team at St. Joseph Hospital, you'll be part of a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to providing accurate and timely test results that help diagnose and treat our Long Island community. At our hospital, we are proud to have a team of dedicated technologists and lab staff who are committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Positions we are hiring for:
Part-Time & Per Diem Clinical Laboratory Technologists on Evening (3pm
  • 11pm) and Night (11pm
  • 7am) Shifts Full-Time Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist on the Evening Shift (3pm
  • 11pm) Job Details Requirements for
Clinical Laboratory Technologists:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science from an accredited school Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, blood bank, and/or microbiology preferred Hospital experience desired Must work weekends and holidays as scheduled Requirements for
Lead Clinical Laboratory Technologist:
Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or Biomedical Sciences consistent with NYS guidelines (NAACLS ACCREDITED, ASCP or NCA Eligible) Licensed under the NYS Dept of Education as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist 4 years hospital experience required, prior lead or supervisory experience preferred OR 2 years hospital experience and a Masters Degree OR 1 year hospital experience and a
