A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.
Position Overview In the Laboratory, under limited supervision, performs routine and specialized tests in assigned laboratory sections in a timely manner, monitors lab processes, and verifies results. With six (6) years' experience, may in the absence of the supervisor, direct daily activities of his/her section according to UHS Hospitals', Laboratory and Departmental Policies and Procedures, NYSDOH, CDC, and UHSH Infection Control Policies and Procedures.

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range:
$30.58•$45.86 per hour, depending on experience This position is not eligible for benefits.•
Education/Experience Minimum Required:
Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent. (Grandfathered NYS Licensed CLT).
Preferred:
One (1) year experience working in a clinical laboratory.
License/Certification Minimum Required:
NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
Preferred:
