A Clinical Laboratory Scientist analyzes samples of body fluids, tissues, and other substances for diagnostic and research purposes within a medical laboratory or healthcare facility. Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests. Looks for bacteria, parasites, and other microorganisms, tests for drug levels in the blood to show how a patient is responding to treatment.

In this role, the employee will be responsible to make independent judgments to perform routine and special tests as required in our Pathology and Lab Medicine Department. This is a full-time day evening shift position 4:00pm-12:00am with flexibility to cover day shifts 8:00am-4:00am on an as needed basis including rotating weekends and holidays, at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K :

One-year of experience.ASCP Required Criteria:
Bachelor's degree in medical technology or equivalent unless credentials are grandfathered in as life experience. New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York State Education Department. New hires pending aClinical Laboratory Technologist License:
Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire, and must work in a Trainee capacity only Computer literacy. Strong communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams.
