A Blood Bank Technologist works within hospitals or clinics to screen and draw blood from patients. Collect, label and prepare blood, plasma and other components for transfusions. Store blood draws and maintain documentation and records. Test blood for viruses, blood group antigens, compatibility and antibody identification.

REQUIREMENTS
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION High School diploma required. Associate's degree in biology, medical technology, supply chain management, or related field; or equivalent education/experience required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid in state driver's license required.
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in blood banking, medical laboratory, or healthcare warehouse environment preferred. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FDA, AABB, cGMP) strongly preferred.
