We are looking for a full-time Sleep Lab Coordinator to join our collaborative team at Memorial Health!
What You'll Do:
Complete and oversee record scoring for the physicians to interpret tests. Schedule patients and administer sleep in-takes, clerical duties included; verify and pre-certify patient's insurance for all out-patient sleep testing. Coordinate the schedule for the sleep lab with appropriate staff/patient acuity; assure completion of billing for the tests; Oversee preceptorship of newly hired technicians; coordinate communication between the Medical Director, interpreting physician, the Director of Respiratory Therapy/Sleep Lab and the Durable Medical Equipment companies in regards to patient care at the Sleep Lab; verify physician's orders; initiate continuous positive airway pressure set-ups from the ordering physician for the patient through the appropriate Durable Medical Equipment company. Coordinate the selection and purchase of sleep diagnostic, audio-visual and continuous positive airway pressure equipment for the use in the sleep lab; coordinate software/hardware upgrades to stay current and competitive; Create and implement policy and procedures according to the guidelines of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine; maintain technical and customer quality assurance; Oversee all daytime testing in the Sleep Lab, Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT), Maintenance for Wakefulness Test (MWT), Daytime Polysomnographic Test; Assess market for new trends and changing conditions; attend continuing education seminars, also arrange for staff to attend seminars and meet continuing education if necessary; educate the community and medical staff on the subject of sleep disorders; Develop a continuous positive airway pressure compliance program for the physician to follow up with patients; Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the physical facility; Assist in the implementation of a general marketing strategy for the Sleep Lab including visits to the local physician population and attendance at health fairs; Coordinate the equipment and supply program for the sleep lab's clinical use; coordinate and assure compliance to contracts and agreements with vendors; Maintain annual competency checks, licensure and BLS for all staff in the Sleep Lab. Requirements High school diploma, one-year biological sciences or an equivalent of experience in the medical field, certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation is required, RPSGT. Certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation is required; attainment of Certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is required. Shift 1st Hours 80 per pay (Every two weeks)
