Certified Medical Technologist to join our dynamic clinical laboratory team. This vital role involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures with precision and adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical laboratory techniques, excellent data management skills, and a commitment to quality assurance. As a Medical Technologist, you will play an integral part in supporting diagnostic accuracy, advancing research efforts, and ensuring optimal patient care through meticulous laboratory work. Responsibilities Conduct a variety of complex laboratory tests including clinical chemistry, microbiology, hematology, immunoassays, flow cytometry, PCR, ELISA, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, and blood banking procedures. Manage and analyze laboratory data accurately using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Implement and monitor laboratory quality control protocols to maintain compliance with CLIA regulations and ensure the reliability of test results. Perform specimen collection and processing techniques such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, and specimen handling while adhering to aseptic techniques. Operate and maintain medical laboratory equipment with precision, troubleshooting issues as they arise to minimize downtime. Interpret diagnostic test results accurately for clinical relevance and communicate findings effectively to healthcare providers. Assist in the development and validation of new assays and laboratory procedures to support research or clinical trials. Maintain detailed documentation of laboratory activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and hospital policies. Support laboratory management tasks including inventory control, reagent preparation, and scheduling to optimize workflow efficiency. Requirements ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or AMT (American Medical Technologists) certification as a Medical Technologist is required. Proven experience in medical laboratory work within hospital or research settings with familiarity in clinical chemistry testing, microbiology testing, hematology, immunoassays, flow cytometry, PCR, ELISA, RNA extraction, DNA isolation, blood banking, and cytotechnology. Strong knowledge of CLIA regulations and laboratory quality control procedures. Proficiency in laboratory management systems such as LIS or LIMS for data entry and analysis. Hands-on experience with medical laboratory equipment operation including blood sampling devices and diagnostic analyzers. Excellent understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and laboratory techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform venipuncture (phlebotomy), specimen processing, and blood sampling with precision. Familiarity with hospital environment protocols including vital signs monitoring and aseptic technique adherence. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards. Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and documenting findings clearly.
