Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Step into a vital laboratory role as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician, providing essential diagnostic testing and analysis in a reputable healthcare setting. Leverage your technical skills and scientific acumen to support accurate and timely patient care in a collaborative environment.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
Certified as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT), with current credentials from an accredited certifying body (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments, specimen processing, and quality control Strong understanding of laboratory safety protocols Proficiency in performing and verifying laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology Excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate results clearly to interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Core Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex laboratory testing with precision and adherence to established protocols Prepare, process, and analyze biological specimens including blood, urine, and tissue samples Operate and maintain advanced laboratory equipment, performing calibrations and troubleshooting when needed Interpret laboratory results and release timely reports for clinical use Uphold rigorous quality assurance and infection control measures Document all testing procedures and outcomes accurately in compliance with regulatory requirements Assist with training new laboratory staff or students as assigned
