Category Laboratory - Medical Technologist Job Type Contract Advance your career in a dynamic laboratory setting, utilizing your expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician. This contract role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care by delivering accurate and timely laboratory results within a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field Current certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Experience operating laboratory equipment and performing a range of diagnostic tests Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and quality assurance standards Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret and validate complex test results Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate with clinical professionals Previous hospital or clinical laboratory experience preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform analytical tests on blood, body fluids, and other specimens with accuracy and precision Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and analyzers Monitor quality control procedures and document results according to regulatory requirements Interpret, record, and report laboratory results in electronic medical records Assist in troubleshooting equipment or testing issues to minimize service interruptions Maintain lab inventory, ensuring availability of supplies and reagents Comply with infection control and laboratory safety policies at all times
