What they do

A Sleep Laboratory Technologist works within sleep clinics with patients with known or suspected sleep disorders. Schedules and coordinates patient assessment, testing, results reporting, treatment and follow up. Performs polysomnographic testing. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of the test equipment to ensure its proper operating condition.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The PSG Tech I position is an acquisition technologist that performs sleep studies on all age groups and appropriately scores records per AASM guidelines.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree, preferably in a science field and/or successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sleep Technology Program, although a bachelor's degree is preferred, and/or 3-5 years of health care experience in a direct care position.
EXPERIENCE
Applicant should be an experienced PSG technologist with excellent skills in the following: sleep study scoring, data acquisition, troubleshooting, bedside manners, mask fittings, and patient education.
