Job Description

Description Prairie Band Health Services is looking for a Medical Lab Technologists or Clinical Laboratory Scientists or for an opportunity at Omak Health Center located in Omak, WA. The Lab Technician for the Colville Tribal Healthcare Authority assists in the lab duties at their assigned location. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a smooth, positive and patient focused environment. The Lab Technician will perform their job duties in a professional manner while assuring that all the needs of the patients are met with a pleasant demeanor. Full Time Medical, Vision, Dental and more PTO, Holiday Pay, and more Previous Medical/Clinical lab experience is required Phlebotomy experience helpful Previous IHS experience helpful
Duties:
Assists lab staff with daily duties and responsibilities. Operates, cleans, and maintains the laboratory equipment and area in accordance with local, state, and federal standards. Performs laboratory specimen processing consisting of receiving, identifying, assigning accession numbers, sorting, preparation and internal laboratory distribution of blood, urine and other biological specimens. Restock supplies as needed and manage the equipment supply inventory. Record daily in the appropriate electronic health record system(s).

Requirements Indian Preference Exercised:
Prairie Band, LLC is subject to Title 22: Employment Code of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation. In accordance with Title 22, this position is designated as a TIER 2 position. Preference will be given to individuals to the extent required pursuant to Section 22-2-4(B). Minimum of an associate's degree in medical technology. Bachelors in Related field preferred MLT Certification 12 months experience as a MLT or CLS in a Hospital Medical Lab Experience providing care to patients within a rural area Must be a US citizen Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Must be willing to pass Federal Security Clearance Immunization records will be required
