HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Clinical Educator Wound Ostomy (PRN) to advance evidence-based wound and ostomy care across our Nashville facility. In this role, you will design and deliver clinical education, conduct competency assessments, and serve as a bedside resource for nursing staff. You will collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes, support new nurse onboarding, and champion quality and regulatory standards while fostering a culture of safety, learning, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and deliver wound and ostomy education for nursing staff and interdisciplinary teams Serve as clinical expert and resource on evidence-based wound, ostomy, and continence care Assess staff competency and provide coaching, skills check-offs, and just-in-time training Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes Design and update educational materials, protocols, and best-practice guidelines Monitor quality metrics and contribute to performance improvement initiatives Precept and mentor new nurses and support their transition into wound/ostomy care Ensure documentation standards and regulatory requirements are met in clinical education activities Required Skills Wound care management Ostomy care Clinical education design Competency assessment Evidence-based nursing practice Adult learning principles Patient assessment and documentation Interdisciplinary collaboration Quality improvement in clinical settings Regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission)
