Resources for Independent Living (RIL) is seeking a dependable and motivated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work within our Supported Employment and Prevocational Services programs. Position Summary The DSP will support individuals with developmental disabilities in developing workplace skills, preparing for employment, and successfully participating in community-based jobs and prevocational activities. Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and small-group support in Supported Employment and Prevocational Services . Assist individuals with learning and completing job duties. Provide job coaching and support at community employment sites. Help individuals develop workplace skills such as communication, attendance, time management, following directions, and task completion. Support individuals with job readiness, employment goals, and increased independence. Provide prompting, modeling, coaching, and hands-on assistance as needed. Transport individuals to employment and community locations as assigned. Complete required daily documentation accurately and on time. Follow each individual's ISP, employment goals, and support needs. Maintain confidentiality and follow NJ DDD and RIL policies and procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Dependable and able to work independently in community settings. Strong communication and organizational skills. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or providing employment/job coaching services preferred. Training provided as required.

Pay:

$19.00 - $20.00 per hour
