Job Summary:

The Speech and Hearing Center at Mercy University, Dobbs Ferry Campus is seeking a Part-time Clinical Educator to supervise graduate student clinicians. Preferred specialty in childhood apraxia of speech and/or speech sound disorders.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Provide direct clinical supervision treatment sessions. Comply with the ASHA standards of supervision for in-person and remote sessions. Adhere to ASHA and NYS ethical standards for clinical practice in speech-language pathology Assist students to provide clinical services in a culturally competent manner, using client-centered and family-centered practices Meet individually with student clinicians at least weekly and as needed. Includes planning and orientation for new cases. Provide both summative and formative constructive feedback to the student. Edit student clinical documentation. Schedule and complete student conferences at midterm and final Ensure students have maintained accurate clinical records and clock hours (lesson plans, SOAP notes, treatment plans and progress reports). Approve clinic clock hours on Calipso. Evaluate students' clinical competencies on CALIPSO. Submit grade recommendations to the Clinic Director at midterm and final. Required Skills & Experience:

At least 3 years of supervisory experience of graduate students or clinical fellows Experience in academic clinical setting preferred Adhere to ASHA supervisory and license standards

Education Requirements:

MS in Communication Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology Teacher of Students in Speech and language Disabilities (TSSLD or TSHH) preferred

NYS SLP License ASHA CCCs Physical/Other Requirements:

Must be able to meet all general health requirements for the position as per university policies
