Essential Functions:
- + Participates and collaborates in the annual development of an education/learning needs assessment for the department of nursing.
Common Expectations:
- + Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Minimum Education:
- + Bachelors Degree Required + Masters Degree Preferred
Work Experience:
- + 5 years RN in acute care setting required; preference to experience in Med/Surg & specialty preferred + Previous teaching experience; teaching and learning strategies, learning styles, curriculum and design preferred
Licenses:
- + Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or + Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required and + Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- + Professional nursing certification in area of clinical specialty/professional development/nursing education. Upon Hire Preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- + Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. + Substantial computer literacy and data file management skills. + Knowledge of regulatory standards, both national and state. + Demonstrated experience in preparing for and handling state and federal surveys would be an advantage.
