Minimum Requirements Master of Science in Nursing with Clinical Nurse Specialist concentration is required. Doctorate of Nursing Practice with CNS concentration preferred. American Heart Association BLS is required. Current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist from a national credentialing body approved by the NC Board of Nursing or completed 1 year from the hire date is required or Pediatric/Neonatal/Adult CNS within three years of hire. More than 4 years as a Registered Nurse required. The CNS concentration may be substituted for a Master of Science in Nursing when accompanied by either: 1. Clinical Nurse Specialist certification with the NC Board of Nursing 2. Post-master's certificate with a CNS concentration. Or CNS concentration may be substituted for Master of Science in Nursing degree along with one of the following: 1. Pediatric/Neonatal specific CNS program within one year of hire 2. Adult CNS program (for Women's CNS) within one year of hire Pay Range Pay for
