The Gund Company:
Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of the Customer and Take Care of the Business Job Summary The Regional Quality Manager (RQM) maintains and supports the Business Management System at multiple facilities. The RQM works with on-site quality support staff to ensure conformance to applicable Quality Management and Continuous Improvement standards and customer requirements in support of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction goals. Each RQM has responsibility for leading Quality Team Members at multiple sites. Essential Job Functions Process execution accountability of quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and continuous improvement (CI) process at assigned sites. Collaborate with assigned facilities, functional, and Quality team members in the implementation, execution, and improvement of all QA, QC, and CI processes. Drive improvement and customer focuses responsiveness to quality issues for assigned sites. Collaborate with peer RQM's on systemic quality and process improvement development and implementation. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of Conduct and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Qualifications and Competencies Subject matter expert in Quality Systems Management. Including but not limited to
ISO, AS, DFAR, NADCAP.
Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system software. Subject matter expert in blueprint reading, GD&T, 8D root cause and corrective action facilitation, customer purchase order, quality requirement, and contract review. Continuous Improvement facilitation, project management, and stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Subject matter expertise on industrial metrology and measurement system design. Knowledge of statistical analysis and statistical process control. Education and Experience 10 years of practical experience or an equivalent amount of education and experience in the development, implementation and continual improvement of a quality assurance and quality control processes. Experience in low volume, high variety manufacturing is preferred. The ability to provide leadership and guidance in the application of quality practices throughout the company. Ability to lead or coach a team in problem and process evaluation activities and make appropriate recommendations to aid in their resolution. Strong work ethic, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and respond to changing enterprise needs. Travel Employee must be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
