Flexible schedule based on the consumer's needs Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, caring, and energetic Companion to provide support to an adult consumer in the Brooksville community. The primary responsibility of this position is to accompany the consumer during community outings and activities while promoting independence, social engagement, safety, and a positive quality of life. Responsibilities Accompany the consumer on outings throughout the community. Assist the consumer with participating in recreational and social activities. Provide companionship and positive interaction. Support the consumer with developing appropriate community and social skills. Encourage independence and participation in activities. Assist the consumer with practicing community safety skills. Accompany the consumer to places such as parks, restaurants, shopping centers, libraries, movies, recreational facilities, and other community activities. Provide transportation support when authorized and appropriate. Monitor the consumer's safety while in the community. Follow the consumer's service plan and individual goals. Maintain professional boundaries and respect the consumer's privacy and dignity. Document activities, services provided, progress, and any concerns according to company requirements. Communicate appropriately with the agency regarding changes, incidents, or concerns. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred. Must be dependable, patient, responsible, and compassionate. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and follow the consumer's individualized service plan. Must pass required background screening and meet applicable provider requirements. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license may be required depending on the assigned consumer and transportation responsibilities. Pay:
