This position will work closely with the Mobile Unit Coordinator and other public health staff to connect community members with available health resources, programs, and services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, an interest in public health, and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Essential Responsibilities Assist with community outreach, engagement, and recruitment activities. Work closely with the Mobile Unit Coordinator to support mobile/community-based activities and events. Assist with recruitment and engagement of volunteers, community members, and participants. Promote public health programs, services, screenings, education, and resources within the community. Attend community events, health fairs, outreach activities, and other public-facing events. Establish and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, residents, and partner agencies. Distribute educational materials and provide general information regarding available public health resources. Assist with scheduling, event preparation, setup, and breakdown as needed. Maintain accurate records and documentation of outreach and recruitment activities. Communicate community needs and feedback to program staff. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in public health, health education, social services, community health, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in public health, community outreach, health education, social services, or a related field preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be comfortable working in community-based and mobile settings. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for community outreach activities. Schedule Flexible schedule required. This position may include evening, late-hour, and weekend work based on community events, outreach activities, and operational needs. Work Environment This position involves working in both office and community-based settings, including mobile outreach locations and public events. The Community Service Worker should be comfortable engaging directly with members of the public and working in a variety of environments.
