Job Description
SAIL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Health Advocate Support Specialist to assist with the delivery of the Independent Consumer Advocacy Network (ICAN) Program. ICAN is New York State's Ombudsman program for individuals with Medicaid who require long-term care or behavioral health services. This support role will focus on data entry, administrative tasks, and assisting the Health Advocate with consumer cases. The position will also help with basic program functions, including community outreach and general consumer support as well as acting as a Consumer Directed Personal Assistant Facilitator. Occasional evening or weekend outreach events may be required based on agency needs. Limited regional travel may be necessary. A reliable vehicle is essential to the role.
