8+ Months to start with - Contract, up to 2 years Role Summary Frontline public health role focused on overdose prevention, SUD screening, and linkage to treatment and recovery services. Conduct outreach, distribute naloxone, and build partnerships with community providers. Key Responsibilities Perform evidence-based SUD screenings, assessments, and brief counseling/crisis intervention. Provide overdose and communicable-disease education; distribute naloxone and harm-reduction materials. Engage in community outreach at non-traditional sites (SSPs, shelters, recovery meetings, etc.). Connect clients to mental health, SUD treatment, primary care, and recovery support services. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state/contract reporting requirements. Attend team meetings, trainings, and case conferences; travel within county as needed. Minimum Requirements High school diploma/GED; Experience in peer support, outreach, or SUD/behavioral health services. Strong communication, active listening, and cultural competency skills. Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of insurance. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Preferred Lived experience in recovery or Certified Peer Specialist credential. Bilingual (Spanish/English). Conditions Background check and registry reviews required; certain registry listings are disqualifying. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and unpredictable client behavior. #
Nonit Pay:
