Job Description

We currently have a full-time (40 hours per week) opening to provide Intake and eligibility processing services for the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program (WHEAP). When not fulfilling WHEAP functions, this position provides back-up support to the front desk reception team. This position is embedded in Wood County Human Services Department at the Wisconsin Rapids location. If you have a passion to support the members of our community, please consider joining our team! Primary Duties:
a. Complete energy assistance eligibility determinations utilizing the state computer system, including those submitted electronically in the system and those received locally through paper applications. b. Conduct interviews and assessments for energy assistance customers over the telephone and in-person. c. Refer customers to necessary community resources, including the FSET program. d. Assist customers needing proactive and crisis benefits. e. Schedule appointments for energy assistance interviews at Outreach locations throughout the county. f. Provide front desk reception support including greeting customers, answering phones, and providing support to customers in the resource/lobby area.
Pay:
From $20.41 per hour
