A Contact Tracer is a public health worker who identifies persons who may have come into contact with an infected person (contacts) and subsequent collection of further information about these contacts. The aim is to reduce infections in the population by tracing the contacts of infected individuals, testing them for infection, isolating or treating the infected and tracing their contacts in turn.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide emotional support and companionship to identified members Active listening and conversation Engage members in ongoing social interaction, activities, or movement Games, puzzles, arts and crafts, reading aloud, watching TV/movies together Spend time with the member for the duration of the shift Alert nurses when the individual needs help or clinical intervention Adhere to the facility's policies and standards
