Job Description

EAMC MISSION

POSITION SUMMARY
Studies cells under a microscope to detect evidence of pathological conditions following established standards and practices. Submits slides with abnormal cell structures to pathologist for further examination. Maintains workload requirements following CAP guidelines.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education B.S. degree in health science or must meet the
CAP/CLIA
standards for a practicing cytotechnologist Minimum Experience 1 year experience in cytotechnology or equivalent Required Registration/License/Certification CT (ASCP) Certification Preferred Education B.S. in Cytotechnology Preferred Experience 1-3 years' experience in cytotechnology Preferred Registration/License/Certification CT(ASCP) Certification Other Requirements N/A
