Work Schedule:
Generally (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm); possibility of rotating Saturdays Job Responsibilities Individual diagnostic evaluation of Hematopathology consultation specimens, Flow Cytometry specimens, and Bone Marrow Morphology specimens Accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards Provide expert consultation and discussions with referring Oncologists and Pathologists as needed, in person, by phone, or electronically Provide assistance to the Medical Director and Director of Hematopathology with administrative tasks as needed Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies Minimum Qualifications Medical Degree from an accredited college/university Arizona Licensed Physician Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Subspecialty Board Certification in Hematopathology Additional Job Standards Experience in a high-volume hospital and/or large referral laboratory environment preferred Strong experience interpreting Flow Cytometry, Bone Marrow Morphology, and lymphoid tissue specimens Experience with Hematopathology consultations, including the use of ancillary testing such as Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH), Cytogenetics, and Molecular Diagnostics Organized and efficient problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills required At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
