Screen cytologic material and recognizes abnormalities identified and renders an interpretation diagnoses using the laboratory information system; appropriate cases are sent to the Cytopathologists for final interpretation consideration. Assist Rapid-On Site Evaluations in multiple services including Bronchoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and surgical clinics. Perform appropriate record-keeping procedures and fulfills some of the duties of the cytopathology supervisor during that supervisor's absence. On rare occasions, prepares cytologic specimens for evaluation using established procedures.
