Days:

-8:00am-4:30pm Saturdays Rotating •Will Consider Cytogenetics Technologist or Sr. Cyogenetics Technologist Levels•

Position Summary:

Reports to Lead Clinical Lab Scientist or Supervisor. Performs a variety of both routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures. Prepares and determines suitability of solutions, reagents and stains, following defined formulas and procedures. Maintains and troubleshoots equipment by making routine repairs or notifying appropriate contacts when more complex problems occur. May support both clinical and research aspects of the laboratory. Performs related general duties such as ordering supplies, lab housekeeping, and maintaining safety records. Requires a professional level of knowledge to properly execute and analyze results, especially where results are abnormal or atypical. Specific duties may vary according to rotation assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

​​​​​​​Bachelor's degree in biology, genetics, microbiology, chemistry, hematology, or related field.

Work Experience:

Must have 2 years of related laboratory experience. Experience must include clinical laboratory rotation and knowledge of clinical laboratory tests and equipment acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree or equivalent education & training that meets minimum science coursework (biology, chemistry, genetics, microbiology, hematology or related - making one eligible to sit for certification).

Certification:

ASCP certification for Cytogenetics, CG(ASCP) •Authorization to Work in the

Salary Range:

Minimum 37.02/hour - Maximum 61.11/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
