7:30a-3:30p; 8:30a-4:30p Shift 1 Job Description To perform microscopic examination and evaluation of patient's gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens as well as to judge specimens as "normal" referring suspected abnormal or suspicious gynecologic results and all non-gynecologic results to the pathologist for further evaluation. Education And Credentials BS or BA AMA approved Cytology Program required. Cytotechnologist (ASCP) required; or Cytotechnologist or Cytotechnologist LP within 9 Months required. NYS DOE - Cytotechnologist full License upon hire required OR cytotechnologist limited permit required not necessarily prior to hire, however prior to starting. If working with cytotechnologist limited permit, must obtain full licensure within 9 months of hire.
