Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support our clinicians in delivering exceptional care. In this vital role, you will assist with patient procedures, manage clinical operations, and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the dental practice. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our clinic. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to oral health excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilization procedures to ensure readiness for patient appointments. Assist dentists during various procedures including Pediatric Dentistry, providing support with tools and materials. Evaluate patient assessment data to support clinical decision-making. Manage electronic dental records using the software Opendental accurately document medical and dental histories, treatment notes, and dental coding. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions about procedures. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical documentation securely. Experience Prior experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is highly preferred but not required; familiarity with dental terminology is essential. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques across general dentistry specialties such as Orthodontics or Pediatric Dentistry enhances your effectiveness in this role. Hands-on experience with Opendental is advantageous for seamless record management. Knowledge of dental terminology and dental coding ensures accurate documentation for billing and insurance purposes. Demonstrated ability to perform dental assisting duties while maintaining high standards of patient care and professionalism. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
