Manage patient records efficiently using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize patient comfort and procedural efficiency. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to support patient health assessments before procedures. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination within the clinic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental terminology to promote ongoing oral health. Ensure proper use of medical coding for billing purposes and assist with medical records management for comprehensive patient care. Support the use of advanced technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices to enhance diagnostic accuracy. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Experience with digital X-ray technology, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools used in modern dentistry. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to effectively assist young patients. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Understanding of general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like prosthodontics and endodontics.
