Dental Assistant Duties & Responsibilities Welcome patients to their new dental home Prepare patients for various appointments, ensuring their comfort and trust Organize and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for each appointment Operate sterilization equipment for instruments to properly ensure regulations are met Assist the doctor through 4-handed dentistry Assist in placing and organizing lab, equipment, and supply orders as needed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Assist in maintaining overall office cleanliness Help front office staff with scheduling appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures When necessary, assist doctor and staff in the management of patient medical and dental emergencies Recording all patient medical and dental histories, as well as patient vital signs Requirements Active/Current Arkansas Dental Assistant License Active/Current CPR and Nitrous Certification
