Short-Term Chairside Dental Assistant Opportunity (Springdale) - Oct 22 to Nov 24 An established general dentistry practice in Springdale, Arkansas is seeking a Temporary Chairside Dental Assistant to cover an employee leave from October 22 through November 24 . This short-term position is ideal for someone who wants immediate, hands-on work in a supportive dental office environment or for a newly graduated dental assistant seeking to build clinical experience and secure professional references.
Key duties:
Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing and passing instruments, manage suction/HVE and saliva ejectors, set up and break down operatories, process and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control standards, assist with radiographs if certified, provide basic patient education and chairside support, and help maintain treatment documentation. The role requires a positive attitude, ability to multitask, and strong patient-care skills. Experience & training: We would prefer an assistant with prior chairside experience, but we are open to recent graduates who have completed their dental assisting program and are eager to learn. For less experienced candidates, our team will offer practical mentorship and training during the assignment to help you expand your skill set and obtain references for future resumes and job searches. Certifications such as radiography licensure or current CPR are beneficial.
Hours and compensation:
This is a temporary assignment with weekday hours 8:00-5:00 Monday through Thursday; hourly compensation will be competitive and based on experience.
