Orthodontic Assistant Willing to train the right person with good work ethic and a cheerful outgoing personality. Character, personality, and ability to learn are the most sought after skills for this position.

Duties:

• Assist orthodontist with patient care and treatment procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and care instructions
• Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical documentation
• Assist with orthodontic procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, digital impressions (scans), and impressions
• Print digital models and make retainers
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment

Skills:

• Quick learner of computer software (Tops practice management software utilized)
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM systems for orthodontic appliances
• Excellent communication skills, work ethic, and cheerful attitude
• Experience in assisting with orthodontic procedures
