Job Description
Join Our Dental Team! Family Health Matters is looking for a compassionate and dependable Dental Assistant to join our dental team. Our Dental Assistant works closely with our dentists and dental hygienists to provide high-quality, patient-centered dental care while helping ensure an efficient and welcoming experience for every patient. What You'll Do Assist dentists and hygienists during chairside procedures Greet and prepare patients for treatment with professionalism and compassion Prepare instruments, materials, equipment, and operatories for procedures Sterilize instruments and maintain clean and safe treatment areas Operate digital dental radiography equipment and capture diagnostic X-rays Take intraoral and extraoral photographs Assist with scheduling, patient records, and routine front-office functions Help maintain dental supplies and inventory Support dental prevention and patient education activities Assist with training new Dental Assistants Maintain patient confidentiality and follow OSHA, CDC, and HIPAA requirements What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED Graduate of a Dental Assistant program or Dental Assistant certification X-ray certification required Current CPR/BLS certification Infection Control certification Bilingual in Spanish Strong communication and teamwork skills Compassionate and professional approach to patient care Willingness to learn, grow, and take on new responsibilities Previous dental assisting experience is preferred, but not required
