We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant/Front Office to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced dental practice and contribute to the overall success of our team. Must be punctual and reliable for all assigned days of work.
Duties:
  • Courteous and Professional Demeaner to all patients, staff, and the doctor
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, applying topical anesthetics, and passing instruments
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, anticipating their needs and ensuring efficient workflow
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
  • Explain the importance of diagnosed dental treatment and coverage to patients
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft
  • Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment using proper aseptic techniques
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new materials as needed
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
  • Help with any front office duties and insurance eligibilities as needed
Experience:
  • Previous experience (2+ years) as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist is required
  • Experience with dental terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and maintaining accurate dental documentation
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
