We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant/Front Office to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced dental practice and contribute to the overall success of our team. Must be punctual and reliable for all assigned days of work.Duties:
- Courteous and Professional Demeaner to all patients, staff, and the doctor
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including taking X-rays, applying topical anesthetics, and passing instruments
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist, anticipating their needs and ensuring efficient workflow
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Explain the importance of diagnosed dental treatment and coverage to patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment using proper aseptic techniques
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and order new materials as needed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office's appointment calendar
- Help with any front office duties and insurance eligibilities as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience (2+ years) as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist is required
- Experience with dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in taking dental X-rays and maintaining accurate dental documentation
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members
